One of the most beautiful parks in the entire Costa Rican system is located on the Pacific Ocean. In Manuel Antonio, the beaches are fringed with tall evergreen forest, providing the visitor an opportunity to share the habitat with many animals. Close encounters with white faced and howler monkeys, coatimundis, iguanas and a variety of birds are guaranteed. Manuel Antonio is also one of the last remaining habitats for the extremely endangered squirrel monkey.
